Jury for Iran children’s theater festival named

24th International Children and Adolescents Theater Festival has announced the jury panel for the official competition of screenwriting.

The jurors for the initial phase of the ‘Screenwriting’ competition include Mohammad Charmshir, Abbas Jahangirian and Seyyed Hossein Fadayie Hossein.

As noted in the call for submissions, due to the fundamental role of screenplays in theater, and in order for the submitted works to be benchmarked in terms of their story, the festival is held in two phases.

Ten screenplays will be nominated from among the received works in the first phase. Furthermore, the writers will be given a chance to enhance their screenplays from a dramatic standpoint, hence getting a better headway toward the next phase.

Yet, in the ensuing phase, the modified nominations will compete for the top 3.

The deadline for submissions is already passed, and nominations for phase one will be announced September 11, 2017.

The 24th International Children and Adolescents Theater Festival will be held late fall 2017 in Iran’s Hamadan province.
